Was super suspicious about this place bc it's in the basement of an almost closed out mall with construction and walls falling down the other abandoned stores. So getting here was a bit creepy. They only have a small list of items on the menu. We got the small pork buns, fried dumplings, & wonton soup. Bit one of the small buns first and it was amazing! The fried dumplings too, so crispy and goes incredibly well with the sauce it came with. The wonton soup was a good balance to wash everything down. Our three orders were good to feed Mr and my husband. Would come again. Hopefully they don't close down with the rest of the mall or hope they can find another decent place close by if they do..

Great boas here. They are so rich inside. We ordered takeout and then sat outside to eat. The dumplings were fully fried which was a bit too oily for me so I would just go with the steamed buns next time.

This spot is very unassuming since it's inside a mostly abandoned mall underneath the Manhattan Bridge. But wow their fried dumplings are affordable and SO GOOD!!! I will definitely be back to try their pork buns.

Amazing hidden gem inside a semi abandoned mall. Everything we ordered was amazing and it was $12.50! I do believe they are cash only. Overall 8.97 / 10

I've passed by many times on my way to Michael'i Bakery but never stopped in until recently. This mall will probably not be around much longer so do go to experience the dumplings everyone has been writing about for years. They did not disappoint...crispy, flavorful, and juicy all come to mind to describe them. The menu is small these days so it is easy to sample more if you are hungry or go with a group. $7 for 8 dumplings and an iced tea can't be easily beat!

These dumplings were absolutely amazing.. and for $4, they're nearly impossible to beat. This is an efficient place; we had our dumplings minutes after ordering, which was necessary to quench my hanger. I do wish that they had been served a bit hotter. To find the location, you have to enter through the mall, and head down to the basement. Once you reach the basement from the stairs, if you turn around, you'll see a red sign marking this unassuming gem.

Located in the basement of a near-abandoned mall, this is one of the last standing businesses of this once lively establishment. I wouldn't doubt that this is the only business keeping this building afloat. $5 gets you a box of a 6 fried dumplings, which is on the pricier side for dumplings in Chinatown, but will leave you more than satisfied. The dumplings were fried with an amazing crisp and filled with the juiciest, well-seasoned meat. They did not hold back with the chives in the filling. The menu is written in Chinese and English, but if all fails, you can always point. They were surprisingly very welcoming. The seating area is quite bare-boned with a few questionably stained tables. Probably would not be the most dine-in experience, so your best bet is grabbing yourself a box and finding an empty park bench to eat at LOL

Been here a handful of times and really enjoyed it. The food has consistently been good, quick, and fresh, minus one time I came closer to closing time (that's my bad). Most probably don't want to eat there because it's in the basement of a deteriorated and empty mall, but I don't think it's bad. There's 6 ish tables and definitely worth visiting for the food. Their buns are juicy and good (#1). I also got their steamed dumplings and it's so good! The filling is delicious and the skin is a nice bouncy texture, perhaps just a bit thick where they crimp it (#2). One time I really enjoyed the bamboo shoot bun (#4) and the other time it felt overcooked and stale. I recommend warming it up a bit if it's been sitting out. Highly recommend and a great cheap eat.

Food: Both the boiled and fried dumplings here are delicious. The filling is made of pork and chives and it's not too oily like many other dumpling places. Even the fried dumplings were not oily at all. Excellent dumplings! Other menu items include soup dumplings, fish balls, and silky beef. Service: Staff is friendly and welcoming! Ambiance: This dumpling place is located in an old and abandoned mall under the Manhattan Bridge. Therefore, the seating area isn't that nice but they have tables set up if you want to eat there. Overall, I would recommend this place!

A friend raved about this spot, so I finally made the trek to try it out. First of all, note that it is located inside an abandoned mall in the basement level. If you're looking for a hole in the wall spot, this is it. To get inside, enter through the glass doors on Forsyth St instead of Broadway, which is locked. Once you go downstairs, make a U-turn off the stairs to your right and you'll see the sign for this spot in a big red sign. We ordered the Small Steamed Buns (6pcs) ($5) and Fried Dumplings (8pcs) ($5). Since we were making many more stops, we got this for take out. But I do wish to try dining here to enjoy it from the steamer and because there's actually dining tables here. This is a hard find in Chinatown. The dumplings are delicious with lots of meat and thick cuts of shives inside. The buns are good with nice flavored meat inside, but I did find the bao to be a bit too thick. Make sure you enjoy the buns with the vinegar sauce to bring out the flavor though. Note: cash only as most places in Chinatown are.
